(Wednesday, June 7, 2023)
The weather forecast on TV predicts that we'll soon get into the rainy
season. The new typhoon
has just been born and it will stimulate the rainy season front. The school
kids that I taught for two
years in Ebina will soon be going on a school trip to Kyoto and Nara. I
hope they'll be able to expect
sunny days for the three days and two nights trip.
This morning the Angels are having a game with the Chicago Cubs. Just after
a day holiday, are they
going to do a great job in today's game? I'm not expecting the Angels to
go on to the next stage, but
I hope they'll do their best for each of the teammates. I also hope David
Fletcher is coming back.
I made a mistake again as to build my homepage. When I see the banner for
the web-page ranking
site, I surely feel like making it better for my homepage. However when
I make the same mistake, I
tend not to be able to open the index page correctly. And at the same time,
while I'm trying to fix my
web-site, something on my index page is going wrong. Why would I have to
make the same mistake?
When I tried to fix the index page for my web-site, I noticed there was
something wrong with the
counter for the visiters. I couldn't see the counter, so the last time
when I made the same mistake,
I went to the Lolipop (the server that maintains my web-page) and found
the URL(uniform resource
locator) for putting the counter on the index page again. I could successfully
make it happen.
This morning I succeeded in putting the banner for the web-page ranking
site on the index page
of my homepage. However you could easily imagine what happened after that. That's right. When I
finished putting the banner, it was impossible for me to open the index page again. Now I'm waiting
for the opportunity to open the index page. If I can't open the page,
I can't edit the page any longer.
Once I could see the index page in some way or other, but in a few minutes
it was gone. Is it a good
idea for me to wait for the index page to be opened to me, just sitting
on the chair?
By the way, at present the Angels are having a game with the Chicago Cubs
which I'm watching on
TV. In this game Shohei Ohtani hit his 16th homerun which flew to the right
field fence over Seiya
Suzuki's head. He looked so disappointed because he didn't think it went
over the yellow line first.
When Shohei hit a homerun, the Cubs were winning the game by 4-2, but now
the Angels is winning
by 6-4. It was a great inning for the Angels. Of course Trout hit an important double too.
How did I do it? I just happened to be able to open my difficult file before
I knew. I really don't
understand what happened to the homepage builder, but somehow I was able
to see the file. It has
nothing to do with the homepage building system, but it could be the matter
of time. Actually I waited
a very long time. Am I going to do the same mistake again and again? If
I did, it'll take me almost half
a day to repair the homepage files. "Don't try to do that again, you
know." I said to myself last time
I made the serious mistake. Well, the final score of the baseball game
was 7-3 for the Angels.
Finally I decided to remove the homepage ranking banner because I was sure
that the URL for
the ranking banner brings about some trouble when I'd like to open the
index page. So actually I
stopped putting the trouble making banner on the index page. Now that my
serious problem about
the index page is gone, and my homepage seems so stable. Please you guys
come and visit the page.

He was living in a cold area by the sea. There was snow on the ground and
he had a shivering
cold time day by day. After eating a proper meal at the beach, the rescuer
took him back to the
vet where the doctor found a lot of lice on his body. When he came home,
he got some lice-killing
spray and then took a warm shower. He looked a little bigger for a puppy,
and he was surely happy.
Maybe after shooting this video, the boy was named Derek. The place where
he was found
was a distant village around 200 km from Sofia, Bulgaria. He had infectious
disease, so he had
to keep taking antibiotics before getting healthy enough to be adopted
by a good family.
I wonder what food he was eating when they hurried to the rescuing site.
He must have been
starving and he must have also been very thirsty. Even in Japan there are
so many poor children
who can't eat or drink at home. However it's not that they have nothing
to eat or drink. But how
about stray animals, especially stray dogs. They need food and water, and
of course love is the
most important thing they want to get. How I wish I was a rich man who
could help lots of stray
dogs by donating plenty of food, water, and money, and of course love.
God bless them all!
I've already had my dinner now. It's 20 minutes before 18:00. Oh, I almost
forgot to
take the medicine, nor did I get the injection for my diabetes. I have
to finish it quickly.
If you want to take care of diabetes, you'll have to take a lot of medication,
which will
cost you more than \30,000 for two months. It surprises you, doesn't it?
I've done my job successfully. I'm used to getting a shot, but when you've
got to do it
for the first time, it must be very scary. You must be afraid of getting
the shot.
Today the Meteorological Agency announced that the Kanto-Koshin Area got
into the
rainy season this year. They say it's going to rain a lot after midnight.
Typhoon No.3 is
coming up to Japan, which invites a lot of rainfall by the rainy season
front. The Asian
name for the typhoon is "Gucheol" given by Micronesia. It's a
very beautiful area.
But a typhoon seems to be born in the beautiful island area near the Philippines.
(Friday, June 9, 2023)
Thank you very much for saving a precious little life who was dying in
the debris. He had to
say goodbye to his siblings long before he was rescued. I was happy to
know that his medical
problem was only fleas which covered his body. He went home with the rescuer
and enjoyed a
warm bath and went to sleep. There are so many stray puppies who are dying
without the help
of thoughtful people. I can't be of financial help, but I really hope they'll
be rescued ASAP.
The Meteorological Agency announced yesterday the the Kanto-Koshin district
got into the
rainy season, which was just a day later than a usual year. I don't remember
the heavy rain we
had last night, but the rain still keeps going on. The agency predicts
that it will stop raining this
afternoon. However this is just the beginning of the wet season and we're
having a lot more rain.
The only things during this rainy season are beautiful hydrangeas coming
out in the falling rain.
Do you know that there are lots of kinds of the plants today? My ex-wife
and I often went to
Kaisei Town in Odawara to enjoy many beautiful hydrangeas and bought some
new ones. We
brought them back home and planted them in the garden which grew bigger
and bigger later. Are
they still alive in the same garden that we used to have? I really hope
they are. I also planted some
of the new hydrangeas in the garden of a junior high school near Tateba
Station on the Yokohama
Municipal Subway Blue Line. Are they also OK and are the school kids happy
to see them there?
The photos are (from top left to bottom right) Meigetsu-in Blue in Kamakura,
Anabelle, Sumida's
Fireworks, and Oakleaf. Many of them don't look like hydrangeas, right?
Especially Sumida's Fireworks
are very beautiful because they're fascinating bluish white. I hear Oakleaf
was born in Canada. They're
as pure white as snow in the mountains. Many othere hydrangeas have been
improved in Japan.
This morning I broiled gyoza for breakfast. Last time I fried "Osaka Osho gyoza" but this time
I tried "Ajinomoto gyoza." Well, this is my personal opinion, but Ajinomoto tasted better
than Osho.
Of course I should go to a Chinese restaurant instead. Gyoza in a Chinese restaurant is better than
anything. I like it better with ramen. Many people would agree with me. On the first floor of my
apartment building there is a small chinese restaurant. I like their fried
rice, ramen, and gyoza. But
for my small stomach now it's too much all together. It makes me gain weight.
This boy was hit and run by a bad driver and he was crying for help. A
local made a emergency
call for the rescue team. They soon went to protect him and then took them
to a vet clinic for an
immediate operation. His operation was successful and he was getting better
rapidly. He'll be
ready for adoption sooner or later. Now he's staying with the rescuer.
He's enjoying playing with
Arra, the Jack Russell Terrier at home. Arra's very much interested in
the puppy and very gentle
with him. He has a good appetite and he eats a lot every day, which is
a good sign for his health.
I'm very happy that he was not killed in the car accident. If you hit
a dog, you have to stop your
car and get out to help him or her. You could take him or her to the emergency
vet clinic soon.
Their precious lives will be in your hands. You have to save them as if
they were your own kids.
She was so scared that she was hiding in a dark and lonely place. The rescuer
had to wait
until she got brave enough to come out for him. She was so dirty, so after coming home he
had to let her take a warm shower before going to see the vet. The doctor
fell in love with her
when he saw her first. Now she was a very beautifuln girl who is ready
to be adopted someday.
She's such a pretty angel, isn't she? She was lucky enough to be rescued
from the debris.
When you have diabetes, there are basically two ways to deal with the disease.
Taking care
of what to eat and drink, and then getting good physical exercises every
day. Choosing something
to get into your stomach is not a hard job to do, but getting enough exercises
every day is not
an easy job. Actually I don't go out for a long walk every day. It's not
that I hate exercises, but
I'll soon get tired even by taking a walk for, say, about half an hour.
To do some jogging is not
what you enjoy in order to deal with diabetes. However I think I have to
begin with taking a short
walk every day. Now is the best season to walk outside, because I like
watching hydrangeas.
There are some beautiful hydrangeas in the neighborhood, and when I see
them smile at me I
remember every good memory that I had with my ex-wife and lovable dogs
in Heaven at present.
Will I be able to remember these words of mine tomorrow? I really hope
so.
Both my ex-wife and Ryoma went along very well with hydrangeas in Kaisei
Town in Odawara.
I still remember everything we felt and saw there. We also enjoyed a nice
lunch on our way to
the hydrangea festival. I know it's impossible, but I'd like to visit the
festival with them again.
(Saturday, June 10, 2023)
The activity of the rainy season front has been stabilized? It seems that
it has stopped raining
at present. Around this time of the year, there used to be a lot of beautiful
hydrangeas in the
garden with my house. Of course they were from Kaisei Town in Ashigarashimo
District.
Maybe the upper left and the bottom right could be "Hydrangea Jogasaki,"
which I'm not sure.
The bottom left with brilliant blue petals is a usual western hydrangea.
I liked the hydrangeas
because their color blue looked the most beautiful in our garden. The upper
right is a famous
hydrangea widely known as "Sumida's Fireworks." The last two
photos show my favorite "Oakleaf
Hydrangeas" which was born in the white snow in Canada.
The first hydrangeas which I thought were very rare have become very popular
now. Many people
should have thought in the same way. We should have more and more beautiful
hydrangeas in Japan.
The first species of hydrangeas were found in Japan. Then many European
people brought them
back to their home countries. They were improved in Europe and were finally
imported back into
Japan. Most of the first species were "Lacecap Hydrangeas" like
"Hydrangea Jogasaki." The words
I've been using here in this article were so difficult that I don't want
you to worry about my mistakes
in English. Especially when I try to write about scientific matters, it's
just like playing soccer at my
age. It's a very tough job to do, but at the same time it's fun to try
writing English sentences.
Physically the little boy was seemed OK, but he was suffering from giardia,
which could be
healed by an expert. However he had to wait for adoption until he recovered
from his disease
completely. It was caused by the parasites inside the intestine. And he
could have taken those
parasites through dirty food and water. Now he doesn't have to worry about
his health, because
he had a warm house where he could stay with the warm-hearted rescuer.
By the way, there was a MBL game between the Seattle Mariners and the Los
Angels Angels
late this morning. Shohei Ohtani was the starting pitcher and tried to
win the 6th victory, but he
was not lucky enough to become the winning pitcher. Finally the Angels
won the game by the
score of 5-4 and Shohei Ohtani hit his 17th homerun, but his 6th victory
went far away.
I guess Shohei is too tired to show his perfect pitching. The other pitcher
on the Mariners looked
much tougher and greater than Shohei. When is he going to win the next
game? If they want to
let him become a winning pitcher, they will also have to make a lot of
hits. However the most
important thing for them to do is to make hits when they're really needed.
We know there have
been not a few players who could have helped Shohei by making important
hits and homeruns.
On the other hand, Darvish has succeeded in making his 100th wins in the
MLB. For this season
only, this is his 5th winning pitch, which is the same as Shohei. What're
you doing, guys? You have
to be able to win more games in this season. Didn't you make 16 winning
games on the San Diego
Padres last year? How about Shohei? You won 15 games on the Angels, right?
Go for it!
(Sunday, June 11, 2023)
Time flies, doesn't it? A week quickly passes and the next weekend will
soon come. I don't
go to work any more, so it doesn't matter if it's Sunday or not. When I
worked at school, the first
day of the week was called "blue Monday," because we usually
become blue when there were so
many days left for the new week. I'm only interested in the special day
when I can receive pension.
In our pension system, we can get the money once in two months, on the
15th of even-numbered
months, I'll get my pension for June on the 15th of this month. I'll never
be able to receive a lot of
money on the day, but some money is better than nothing.
I used to buy lottery tickets many times a week, but now I've decided
to buy Loto 7 on Fridays,
which costs me around \1,500 for 5 units. If I'm lucky enough to get the
first prize, I'll give a certain
sum of money to the Rescue Organizations for stray cats and dogs. Of course
I'll use the rest for
my parents-in-law and ex-wife and myself cf course. Am I going to donate
some to the schools
I used to work for? Impossible. That's what the boards of education have
to do for children. Now I'm
getting sleepy. I'll have to stop working on the computer and go to bed
ASAP.
When the rescue team found him first, he was trying to run away, but soon
he stopped running.
After that he was a happy dog and was always wagging his tail. They said
that he seemed to be
an mixed blood of an beagle and someone else. Luckily he was in complete
health, so he could
go back to the rescuer's apartment soon and have a good proper dinner and
take a warm bath.
There are so many stray dogs all around the world. There are also so many
bad guys who think
nothing of kicking them away. You're hungry every day, right? Then stray
dogs are also starving.
You can easily turn on the faucet and get as much tap water as you want,
but they can only
drink some dirty rain water. We both live on the earth and everybody has
a right to be happy.
Let's pay attention to those stray dogs and try to do something good for
them. God bless them!
The second game between the Mariners and the Angels is now coming to an
end. The Mariners
have won the game by 6-2, although Sohei Ohtani his his 18th 2-run homer
at the bottom of
the third inning. The video above shows Shohei's great home run, but nobody
followed him.
Today's starting pitcher was Patrick Sandoval who represented Mexico in
the 2023 WBC. Shohei
and Sandoval are known as very friendly to each other. Yesterday Shohei
lost the game, and today
Sandoval has also lost the game. Too friendly to each other, right?
The site that they had to travel to was such a faraway place that it was
like driving across the
whole country. When they reached the site, it was large beaches that were
spreading in front of
them. It seemed almost impossible, but they decided not to give up.
When they found him, the boy looked so sad, maybe because he had been
feeling lonely. No
siblings or no mother. He first went home late at night with the rescuer
and took a warm bath as
many as 5 times. Then he was served with a proper dinner, but it seemed
that he didn't have a
good appetite. Maybe he had a lot during the day. The next day they took
him to the vet. Nothing
was wrong with his health. The only thing left for him now is to look
for a nice family to live with.
(Monday, June 12, 2023)
Why are there so many stray dogs living at the beaches? I'm sure there
were many crual guys
who thought nothing of abandon dogs, both puppies and adults. The rescuer
told us that the dogs
thrown away there were very friendly and not hostile. Maybe there were
also warm-hearted people
who were willing to take good care of them. Keeping stray dogs at home
is not an easy job, but it's
not so difficult to give them food and water constantly.
The facial expressions of rescued dogs change day by day. They are learning
to smile at the good
people around them. I really hope they're going to meet nice families and
be adopted soon.
I'm so sorry for the little boy. He was scared and walking among lots of
adult dogs who barked
hard at him. Surprisingly he was sprayed with colorful paint all over his
body. The rescuer hurriedly
took him back home. Luckily the paint was aqueous and while he was taking
a shower it soon went
off with warm water. He must have been so sad because some mischievous
human boys caught him
and sprayed him with paint laughing around. He must have been sad and scary
at the same time. He
must have behaved bravely if he had his parents with him. Human kids should
be more warm-hearted.
After taking a bath, he enjoyed royal dinner with his new friend Arra,
the rescuer's Jack Russell
Terrier. The next day the man took the puppy to the vet and he was in good
health. Then the Paw
Squadron members assembled in the park and played together. It was quite
easy for the newest
member to made friends with other dogs. He got socialized easily, piece
of cake.
On my homepage I've been making materials for learning English grammar
and conversation.
The idea of learning how to speak English from the English teacher they
used to learn English
from when they were just 14 years old. The idea was given to me when we
had a drinking party
in the middle of last month. I answered to one of the mothers happily.
"How about learning again
with the materials I'm making from now on my webpage. Anyway I started
the system immediately.
I don't know if it's of any help of theirs. They should be around 40 years
old at present. Of course
I still remember their young faces when they were studying in my homeroom.
Yes, they're young!
I work on the materials almost every day. Since I was a young English
teacher, I liked making
English materials for the students. Even if I keep on doing the job, I
never lost interest in in. When
I was at college, I liked writing English sentences, and still now I do.
Now that I have quit my
teaching career, I think I have to brush up my English skills by making
English materials every day.
"Practice makes perfect," so goes a famous saying in English.
I really agree with the idea.
There was a call about an abandoned puppy near a construction site. But
when they arrived
there, they were surprised that the little boy was with his mother. They
decided to bring both
of them back home. The mother was now being kept in a shelter with a very
large dogrun where
all the big dogs could enjoy running around and playing together. The rescuer
tried to give the
boy a proper dinner, but he threw up everything he ate during the day.
He wasn't sick, but maybe
he didn't have energy to digest food inside the stomach. Oh, little angel,
you'll soon get better, I'm
sure. All the rescue people are having a hard time. So his mother might
also be adopted soon.
(Tuesday, June 13, 2023)
There was an emergency call about a puppy wandering a plantation site. They soon went
there to find a little girl coming up to them immediately. No other dogs
so far had come up to
them for themselves. She looked like a Bulgarian Karakachan (photos below),
which meant that
she was going to become a very big dog. Maybe somebody had been keeping
her family, and that's
why she was so friendly to them. Maybe she was lost or abandoned there.
She was so hungry and ate a lot. She had big paws and wanted her tummy
washed. What a beautiful
dog! She also enjoyed playing around. She really was a playful girl, a
pure breed perhaps.
According to the vet, the little girl was about two months old. When she
was rescued, she was
clearly used to people. Maybe somebody in the area was taking care of
her. But it was so difficult
for her to drink from dirty water puddles. Her mother wasn't there to take
care of her.
She was taken back home by the rescuer and was soon taken to the vet clinic.
Luckily she was
in complete health and when she came home, she found a new friend, Arra,
a Jack Russell Terrier.
How come there are so many abandoned puppies in the world? Aren't their
parents interested in
taking care of them? Don't they love them? I wonder why, but I'd like to
wish them a lot of happiness
and good luck. We should also know about poor human children who have a
hard time living alone.
This is Ryoma who passed away on June 19, four years ago. Toward the end
of his life, he
used to be tired after going for a long walk. Especially when the weather
was too hot, he looked
so exhausted while he was walking with me. Both a lot of people, young
and old, and most of the
dogs have to fight the heat in the summer. Ryoma suffered from severe heat
stroke twice in his
15 years and 4 months' life. On the morning of his last day, he looked
so sick because he suffered
from heat stroke the day before. It was a regular holiday for the vet clinic
we usually visited, so
I found a different clinic and took Ryoma there ASAP. Thanks to the intravenous
drip during the
morning, his temperature went down. However late in the afternoon, I received
an emergency call
from the doctor, telling me that Ryoma had stopped breathing then. I didn't
know what to do, but
my father-in-law and I went to the clinic by car and carried his body back
home. When my mother-
in-law saw Ryoma staying quiet, she burst into tears. I had nothing to
do for Ryoma and my parents.
Ryoma stayed in my room during that night surrounded with packs of ice.
He was lying by the side
of my bed without breathing, which I still remember very clearly.
Even if there's anything wrong with the health, dogs can't tell that to
us human beings. We always
have to watch them and take good care of them. If we think they're not
in good health, we've got
to take them to the vet clinic. I'll never be able to forget the day when
Ryoma stopped breathing.
(Wednesday, June 14, 2023)
The date has already newly changed and now it's June 14. I tried to go
to bed around 12 midnight,
but it was difficult to get into sleep. That's why I got out of bed again
and started to work on the
computer. Of course I'm working on my website. However who'd like to read
my homepage at this
early time of the day? The number of the visiters shown on the counter
has been the same since
I tried to go to bed last night. My first goal is to invite more than 10
people in a day.
This morning again the Angels won the successive two games against the
Rangers. In today's
game the Angels got the first run, but they should not win the game so
easily, followed by the 9-6
loss of the previous day. However they won the game again by 7-3. Shohei
Otani didn't make his
21st homerun today, but he had 5 turns at bat and made two spendid hits
and got three walks.
Finally he got to first base 5 times out of 5 turns at bat. Do you know
that he's going to pitch the
day after tomorrow? He doesn't look very much tired, but I hope his teammates
will strongly help
him win his 6th winning game, which is called "a white star"
in most of the sports in Japan.
At one of the turns at bat, the Texas Rangers called an intentional walk
for Shohei Otani. I'm so
sorry that I don't know the exact words for the Major League Baseball games.
In Japan when one
of the team hated to give a batting chance for the other team's slugger,
they have to declare to
the judge that they're going to walk the batter intentionally. That's called
"shinkoku keien," which
literally means "declared walk." If you're allowed to walk to
first base intentionally, it means that
you're regarded as a very dangerous slugger. So Shohei is now the best
slugger in the world.
This little girl must have been very much scared with unknown people who
came to save her.
Some puppies are too scared, and some will soon get friendly. In her case,
it was not so difficult
for her to make friends with the rescuers. She was lucky enough to be found
healthy by the vet.
After she came home, she took a warm bath and enjoyed eating dinner with
Arra and a cat who
was a little bit afraid of the little girl. It's not easy to get rid of
all the fleas living in the fur. Taking
a few medical shampooing is not enough. Stray cats and dogs have a hard
time living happily.
Look at the photo on the right. Ryoma was very young and it was taken when
he first went
to the beach. He was just watching the ocean, but he didn't know what it
was. Even when he
grew up, he was afraid of going into the sea. Just touching the seawater
was so scary for him.
On the other end of the leash was my ex-wife who loved Ryoma so much.
The photo on the left shows Ryoma around a few years old. Maybe he was
waiting for my wife
to give him something to eat. He wasn't interested in the ocean, but he
really loved food, which
made him such a big Shiba dog. He passed away at the age of 15 years and
4 months on June
19, 2019. It's an anniversary of his death. If it's OK with my parents-in-law,
we're going to the
temple where both Hana and Ryoma's remains are kept in peace. They loved
Ryoma so much
that they really want to touch pray for Hana and Ryoma regularly. The sunflowers
looked cute
with Hana and Ryoma, so I wish I could buy some of them and take them to
the temple.
The color yellow goes very well with Ryoma, doesn't it? On the table in
my living room there are
some artificial sunflowers inside plastic cases. First I used to buy some
real flowers, but when I
saw them die easily, I decided to buy artificial sunflowers on the Internet.
They still look alive and
make me feel so happy. Are you enjoying playing with Hana in the heaven,
Ryoma? Your grandma
and grandpa will visit the Hakuhoji Temple to see you around your anniversary.
(Thursday, June 15, 2023)
Today's my pension day, but the sum of money I got was quite different
from what I had expected
it would be. My pension system consists of two kinds of payment. They are
"old-age basic pension"
and "mutual aid pension." In my case something was wrong with
the last mutual aid pension, so the
total sum of money decreased by a little more than \100,000. When I got
the notice, I didn't understand
what it meant by the reduction. Anyway the pension system itself is quite
difficult to understand. We're
not sure the sum of pension we get is correct ot not. I really hope it
is.
Do you know something about the interesting pension system? If you want
your payment to be paid
earlier after you're 60 years old, it's actually possible but the sum of
your pension will be reduced. If
you think it's not a good idea and that you want to be back to the first
stage, it's not allowed to put it
into practice. It means the sum of reduced pension will never been changed.
I know quite well about
the crazy pension system. The government doesn't want to pay much pension,
they think of making
a smart idea that many people don't understand. What a cunning country
we old Japanese live in!
The Angels lost the game against the Rangers this morning. I think they were too happy to win
the first 2 successive games. They might have felt that it was not very
difficult to defeat the Rangers.
Never take it too easy, the Angels. In today's game the relief pitchers
were no good and they made
the score worse and worse. At the top of the 9th inning, the Rangers were
leading by 6-1, but they
wanted the best closer to take the mound, which was not a good idea for
them. The next batter was
Shohei Ohtani. Did you expect a big homerun from him? But actually he made
his 21st monster hit.
Yes, it was his 21st homerun, which flew 138 meters between left and center
fielders.
Tomorrow morning the Angels and the Rangers will fight the last game out
of the four successive
games. Shohei Ohtani will be the starting pitcher tomorrow. He's been such
an aggressive batter
for the last weeks. Everybody has witnessed his fascinating performance.
Do you also think he'll
be a surprising pitcher in tomorrow's game? Many fans have been wondering
if he's really a great
baseball pitcher. Most of the MBL players and staff studied his pitching
technique precisely and
now they know how to make hits from Shohei Ohtani. However do you recognize
that he became
a losing pitcher only twice so far? I mean he's been such a remarkable
pitcher as well as a surprising
batter. I hope he'll do a splendid job in tomorrow's game. We'll start
cheering for him at 9:05 in the
morning. If the Angels lose for the second time, these four games will
be nothing to talk about. Let's
ask the Goddess of victory for the brilliant 6th win. If they can't go on to the postseason, Shohei Ohtani
will have to say goodbye to them. He doesn't want to leave the cheerful
team in California, though. I
also hope that Trout and Shohei will play in the same team for some more
years. God bless them!
I don't know if the Angels are a good team and they have good staff on
the team including Manager
Phil Nevin, General Manager Perry Minasian, and the Team Owner Arturo Moreno.
But nobody doubts
that their ways of managing the team were wrong. Is that OK that they'll
be told not to do anything
when Shohei had to leave the team, just because his team couldn't proceed
to the postseason.
Some people might insist that Shohei was the troublemaker although he
did a lot of memorable jobs
to do. However even the Beatles had some people to criticize them. Don't
worry, be happy, Shohei.
(Friday, June 16, 2023)
In the last article I wrote before going to bed last night, I told Shohei
to keep being optimistic
about the game this morning against the Texas Rangers. But frankly speaking,
I was afraid that he
wouldn't be able to win the game again. However he was different in today's
game. He succeeded
becoming a winning pitcher at last, although the closer of the team Carlos
Estevez from Dominican
Republic walked three successive batters, when the manager decided to let
him leave the mound.
However the last pitcher Jacob Webb walked only one more batters. He got
a strike-out from the
last batter and totally the Angels won three games out of 4 with the Rangers.
One more surprising
thing was that Shohei had hit his 22nd homerun in that critical game. Is
he really from the outer
space? Is it true that he's only interested in baseball? Not interested
in going out with ladies?
If he hadn't hit the monster homerun, he wouldn't have become the winning pitcher. That
makes him an incredible baseball monster. Yes, I know that someone insisted
Shohei was going
to be a crazy player in June, because he's apt to do his best in the middle
of summer. He needs
heat for baseball in himself which gives him a lot of energy. Not tired
out at all.
And one more thing we shouldn't forget about baseball games. That is not
only one brilliant guy
makes a surprising victory, but the other temmates have to work together
to win a game. Today
before Shohei's two-run homer, both the catcher Chad Wallach and the outfielder
Mickey Moniak
made solo homers. The first-base man Jared Walsh was in the injured list
for a very long time, but
he just came out onto the field to make a fascinating two-base hit, which
helped Shohei become
a winning pitcher. They're no different from enthusiastic baseball boys
or girls in every country.
The little boy felt very sad, because he was left in the abandoned building
with his neck tied up
tightly with a plastic string to a piece of concrete block. He couldn't
move at all without any food
or water. The rescuer didn't know if he was a yard dog or just a stray
dog. Anyway they drove him
back home. He fell asleep while he was enjoying his first ride in a car.
Soon he took a warm shower and became a very clean handsome dog. The next
day the rescuer
took him to the vet who found anything wrong with him. At that time he
had some new friends in
Paw Squadron, and they got playful together in the park. He's such a beautiful
boy that the rescuer
is sure that he's going to find a new adopting family soon. We want him
to play and eat a lot until then.
On the Angels at present, Shohei Ohtani is in perfect form, but on the
other hand the greatest
cannon Mike Trout is failing. Ohtani is a 28-year-old slugger going on
29 this July. Trout is a 31-
year-old cannon going on 32 this August. I guess Trout has been totally
exhausted doing sliding
catches sometimes. I know he's a great player, because he's always trying
his best, even for running
to the first base. In that sense Ohtani is similar to Trout very much.
Shohei is always trying his best,
which makes him extremely tired, too tired to make many hits, too tired
to be a winning pitcher. I
hope Trout is taking a rest so that he can make a perfect job to do. Not
perfect, but 70% can be good
enough. When we look at major league baseball players, they hustle so much
that they can appeal to
their managers or owners, finally to Major League Baseball. Hope they won't
hurt themselves.
